41 locations were nominated in this year's Swiss Location Award® in the category «sports stadiums». Of these, 9 locations received the «outstanding» seal of quality (9+ points), 18 locations received the «excellent» seal of quality (8+ points) and 0 location received the «recommended» seal of quality (7.7+ points) and are thus officially among the «best sports stadiums in Switzerland».
For a sports stadium or arena to be among the «best sports stadiums in Switzerland» at the Swiss Location Award 2024, the location had to be primarily designed and suitable for sports events, have a certain number of spectator seats and offer a unique visitor experience in terms of infrastructure, atmosphere and gastronomy. It was considered positive if a location was also suitable for events of all types.
