Nachfolgend findet ihr die wichtigsten Informationen zum Swiss Location Award 2022.

A. Sinn und Zweck des Awards: 
 
1. Was ist das Ziel des Swiss Location Awards?

Der Swiss Location Award® zeichnet jährlich in verschiedenen Kategorien die besten Locations der Schweiz aus und stellt so das wichtigste Gütesiegel der Eventbranche für «herausragende Hotels, Restaurants, Meeting-, Tagungs-, Kongress- und Eventlocations» dar. 

2. Was bringt der Swiss Location Award® den teilnehmenden Locations? 

Die teilnehmenden Locations erhalten eine unabhängige Einschätzung durch Veranstalter*innen, Besucher*innen und Fachjury und profitieren durch ihre Award Teilnahme von einer einmaligen Reichweite in der Öffentlichkeit. Die ausgezeichneten Locations erhalten zudem mit der Swiss Location Award® Auszeichnung ein anerkanntes Gütesiegel, welches sie in ihrer Vermarktung exklusiv und gewinnbringend einsetzen können. 

3. Was bringt der Swiss Location Award® den Veranstalter*innen?  

Die Veranstalter*innen erhalten durch das Swiss Location Award® Ranking eine breit abgestützte, aussagekräftige Auflistung der besten Hotels, Restaurants, Meeting-, Tagungs-, Kongress- und Eventlocations der Schweiz, auf welche sie bei der Auswahl ihrer Locations und Planung zukünftiger Events zugreifen können. 

 
B. Konzept und Spielregeln: 
 
1. Welche Locations können beim Award mitmachen? 

Beim Swiss Location Award® können sämtliche Locations mitmachen, die sich a) auf Schweizer Boden oder in Liechtenstein befinden und sich b) für Events- oder besondere Erlebnisse eignen.

2. Wie werden die Locations nominiert? 

Locations können von Veranstalter*innen, Locationbesucher*innen, Eventprofis und auch von eventlokale.ch bis am 31. März 2022 kostenlos Online für den Award nominiert werden. Ferner haben auch die Locations selbst die Möglichkeit, sich für den Award zu nominieren.

3. Wie entscheidet sich, in welcher Kategorie die jeweiligen Locations antreten? 

Eine Location kann nach ihrer Nominierung maximal drei Kategorien auswählen, in welchen sie am Swiss Location Award teilnehmen will.
 
Damit sichergestellt ist, dass eine Location auch tatsächlich in die ausgewählten Kategorien passt, kontrolliert das Award OK formell die ausgewählten Kategorien und nimmt, wo nötig, Anpassungen vor. 

Die Auszeichnug erfolgt schlussendlich in derjenigen Kategorie, in welcher die Location a) nominiert war und b) in der Bewertungsphase die beste Gesamtbewertung erhalten hat.

4. Wie werden die Locations bewertet? 

Vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2022 werden die nominierten Locations von Veranstalter*innen, Locationbesucher*innen, sowie einer unabhängigen Fachjury bewertet. Die Beurteilung durch die Veranstalter*innen und Locationbesucher*innen zählt bei dieser Bewertung 1/3, die Beurteilung der Fachjury 1/3 und eine technische Bewertung von eventlokale.ch ebenfalls 1/3.

Die Bewertung durch Veranstalter*innen und Locationbesucher*innen erfolgt online auf eventlokale.ch (direkt im Eintrag der nominierten Locations) und ist in den Sprachen Deutsch, Französisch, Italienisch und Englisch möglich. Falls eine Location zum Zeitpunkt der Nominierung keinen Eintrag hat, kann sie für die Dauer der Award-Durchführung, einen kostenlosen Eintrag erstellen. 

Die Fachjury bewertet die Locations nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen aufgrund eigener Erfahrungen, anhand vorhandener Informationen aus dem Internet, basierend auf Informationen auf den Websites der Locations, sowie objektivierbarer Messkriterien wie z.B. Lage, Erschliessung, Raumprogramm, Infrastruktur usw. Ein Besuch der Locations durch die Jury ist nicht vorgesehen. 

Die Bewertung von eventlokale.ch erfolgt in Form eines technischen Algorithmus, welcher den Zusammenzug von öffentlicher Bewertung und Fachjury Einschätzung definiert und die Gewichtung der einzelnen Parameter innerhalb der Bewertungen (z.B. Anzahl Bewertungen, High- und Lowlights usw) festlegt. 

 
C. Auszeichnung:

Die offizielle Auszeichnung der Locations findet am Dienstag, 14. Juni 2022 statt und wird via eventlokale.ch, dem Eventmagazin Newsletter, Social Media sowie zahlreichen Online- und Printmedien kommuniziert. 

D. Zeitablauf: 
 
1. Wann findet die Nominierungsphase für den Swiss Location Award 2022 statt?
Die Nominierungsphase findet vom 1. bis 31. März 2022 statt
 
2. Wann findet die Bewertungsphase (Public Voting) statt? 
Die Bewertungsphase findet vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2022 statt.
 
3. Wann findet die Auszeichnung statt?
Die offizielle Auszeichnung der Locations findet am Dienstag, 14. Juni 2022 statt und wird via eventlokale.ch, dem Eventmagazin Newsletter, Social Media, sowie zahlreichen Online- und Printmedien kommuniziert.  
 

E. Kategorien: 
 
In folgenden Kategorien werden die besten Locations der Schweiz ausgezeichnet: 
 
1. Meetinglocations & Sitzungszimmer
Meetinglocations, Tagungscenter und Hotels, welche ein oder mehrere Sitzungszimmer/Meetingräume anbieten. Keine Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten erforderlich. 

2. Tagungslocations & Seminarhotels
Tagungslocations und Seminarhotels, die sich für ein- und mehrtägige Seminare, Tagungen und Weiterbildungen eignen. Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten im Haus von Vorteil. 

3. Kongresslocations & Konferenzhäuser
Hotels, Kongress- und Konferenzlocations, die sich für grössere ein- und mehrtägige Kongresse, Konferenzen und Corporate Events eignen. Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe von Vorteil, aber nicht erforderlich. 

4. Event- & Partyräume 
Kleinere Event- und Partyräume, Eventlokale, Waldhütten, Vereinslokale und Bankettsäle, die sich für Geburtstage, Privatanlässe, Apéros, Partys uvm. eignen.

5. Eventlocations
Locations mittlerer Grösse, die sich für Firmenanlässe, Jubiläen, Konzerte, Privatanlässe, Produktepräsentationen, Vereinsanlässe uvm. eignen. 

6. Eventhallen & Messehallen
Grössere Event-Venues, die sich für grosse Firmenevents, Generalversammlungen, Konzerte, Messen, Sportanlässe uvm. eignen.

7. Clubs & Bars
Club- und Barlocations, die sich für Partys, Firmenfeiern, Kundenevents, Apéros und Privatanlässe aller Art eignen.

8. Restaurants & Genusslocations
Restaurants und Genusslocations, die mit ihrer Kochkunst, ihrem Ambiente, ihrer Servicequalität und ihrer Lage aussergewöhnliche Genusserlebnisse bieten.

9. Hochzeitslocations 
Locations, die ein Hochzeitsfest mit ihrem Stil, Charme, ihrer Gebäudeart, Lage und Geschichte zu einem für Brautpaar und Gäste einzigartigen Erlebnis machen. 

10. Erlebnislocations 
Locations, die mit Themenwelten, einzigartiger Geschichte und/oder kreativem Rahmenprogramm unvergessliche Erlebnisse schaffen.

Der Swiss Location Award® ist sowohl für die nominierenden Veranstalter*innen, Locationbesucher*innen und Eventprofis als auch für die nominierten Locations komplett kostenlos.

Since 2016, the Swiss Location Award®, as the most important seal of quality in the event industry, honors the best hotels, restaurants, congress and event locations in Switzerland. 

Below you will find the most important information about the Swiss Location Award 2022.


A. Purpose of the Award: 
 
1. What is the purpose of the Swiss Location Award?

Every year, the Swiss Location Award® honors the best locations in Switzerland in various categories and thus represents the event industry's most important seal of quality for "outstanding hotels, restaurants, meeting, congress and event locations". 

2. What are the benefits of Swiss Location Award® for the participating locations? 

The participating locations receive an independent assessment by event organizers, visitors and a jury of experts and benefit from a unique public reach through their participation in the award. The award-winning locations also receive a recognized seal of quality in the form of the Swiss Location Award®, which they can use exclusively and profitably in their marketing. 

3. What are the benefits of the Swiss Location Award® for event organizers?  

The Swiss Location Award® ranking provides event organizers with a broad-based, meaningful list of the best hotels, restaurants, conference, congress and event locations in Switzerland, which they can use when selecting their locations and planning future events. 

 
B. Concept and rules of the award: 
 
1. Which locations can participate at the award? 

The Swiss Location Award® is open to all locations that a) are located in Switzerland or in Liechtenstein and b) are suitable for events or special experiences.

2. How are the locations nominated? 

Locations can be nominated free of charge online for the award by event organizers, location visitors, event professionals and also by eventlokale.ch until March 31, 2022. Furthermore, the locations also have the opportunity to nominate themselves for the award.

3. How is it decided in which category the respective locations will compete? 

After its nomination, a location can select a maximum of three categories in which it wishes to participate in the Swiss Location Award.

To ensure that a location actually fits into the selected categories, the Award OC formally checks the selected categories and makes adjustments where necessary.

The award will finally be given in the category in which the location a) was nominated and b) received the best overall rating in the evaluation phase.

4. How will the locations be evaluated? 

From May 1 to 31, 2022, the nominated locations will be evaluated by organizers, location visitors, and an independent jury of experts. The evaluation by the organizers and location visitors counts 1/3, the evaluation by the jury 1/3 and a technical evaluation by eventlokale.ch also 1/3.

The evaluation by organizers and location visitors takes place online on eventlokale.ch (directly in the entry of the nominated locations) and is possible in the languages German, French, Italian and English. If a location does not have an entry at the time of nomination, it can create a free entry for the duration of the award. 

The jury evaluates the locations to the best of its knowledge and belief, based on its own experience, on information available on the Internet, based on information on the locations' websites, as well as on objectifiable measurement criteria such as location, accessibility, room program, infrastructure, etc. The jury also evaluates the locations on the basis of the information available on the Internet. A visit of the locations by the jury is not foreseen. 

The evaluation of eventlokale.ch takes place in the form of a technical algorithm, which defines the combination of public evaluation and expert jury evaluation and determines the weighting of the individual parameters within the evaluations (e.g. number of evaluations, high and lowlights, etc.). 


C. Award:

The official awarding of the locations will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 and will be communicated via eventlokale.ch, the event magazine newsletter, social media and numerous online and print media. 


D. Timing: 
 
1. When will the nomination phase for the Swiss Location Award 2022 take place?
The nomination phase will take place from March 1 to 31, 2022.
 
2. When will the evaluation phase (public voting) take place? 
The evaluation phase will take place from May 1 to 31, 2022.
 
3. When will the award ceremony take place?
The official awarding of the locations will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 and will be communicated via eventlokale.ch, the event magazine newsletter, social media, as well as numerous online and print media. 


E. Categories: 
 
The best locations in Switzerland will be awarded in the following categories: 
 
1. Meeting rooms & locations
Meeting locations, conference centers and hotels that offer one or more meeting rooms/meeting spaces. No overnight accommodation required. 

2. Seminar hotels
Conference locations and seminar hotels that are suitable for one-day and multi-day seminars, meetings and further training courses. Overnight accommodation in the house is an advantage. 

3. Convention centers & Conference venues
Hotels, congress and conference locations suitable for larger congresses, conferences and corporate events lasting one or more days. Overnight accommodations nearby is an advantage, but not required. 

4. Party rooms & smaller event venues
Smaller event and party rooms, event halls, forest huts, club halls and banquet halls that are suitable for birthdays, private events, aperitifs, parties and much more.

5. Event locations
Locations of medium size, which are suitable for company events, anniversaries, concerts, private events, product presentations, club events and much more. 

6. Event halls & Exhibition halls
Larger event venues suitable for large corporate events, general meetings, concerts, trade fairs, sports events, etc.

7. Clubs & Bars
Club and bar locations suitable for parties, company celebrations, customer events, aperitifs and private events of all kinds.

8. Restaurants & Culinary locations
Restaurants and gourmet locations that offer exceptional culinary experiences with their culinary art, ambience, service quality and location.

9. Wedding venues
Locations that make a wedding celebration a unique experience for bridal couple and guests with their style, charm, building type, location and history. 

10. Experience / Adventure locations
Locations that create unforgettable experiences with themed worlds, unique history and/or creative social programs.


F. Costs
 
The Swiss Location Award® is completely free of charge for the nominating organizers, location visitors and event professionals as well as for the nominated locations.
